Disadvantages: when overloaded effort is used with tightening of screw during replacement of adapter (1) it is possible to get the deformation with bend of the adapter card and loss of contact in the middle of contact socket (2). Upon repetitive efforts made for mounting the adapter, it is possible deformation of the main board with deflection inside which leads to separation solder legs of chip CY7C68001 (located below on the main board). The appearance of the defect is expressed in multiple glitches in the work of the reader, hanging when reading, a lot of errors in read dumps. This defect can be eliminated with soldering of contacts of legs chips.
Recommendation: Do not use over force to install / remove the adapter, when attaching the adapter to the reader!
Reader: v2.0
Release: May of 2007
There were the radical design changes.
Velocity of reading was improved up to 512mb per 40 seconds.
Disadvantages: when overloaded effort is used with tightening of screw during replacement of adapter (1) then separation takes place of solder pin on the main board reader (2). Damage is eliminated with soldering of pins.
Recommendation: Do not use force while changing adapter to secure the reader!
