I had a first success with your power adapter. I have a BGA152 chip ID ec de a4 32 with 8 banks. The ECC was very bad but with 1.8 volts the ECC was almost perfect.

Does the adapter work without external power?
Or does the adapter require an external power supply?
What voltage does the adapter need if using external power?
Thanks,
jimb.

Power Adapter can provide 3.3, 1.8v
Also you can use external voltage source

OK. Thank you for the reply.

Sorry for not being clear. If an external voltage source had been required, then I wondered to what value I should set the external voltage source.
But now I understand an external voltage source is optional.
If I use an external source one, then I should slowly increase the external voltage up from 1.8v until I get a good read.

Yes
External voltage range is 1.8 ... 3.3v
People report good results with 2.4v
