Sergei,
Its over a week now this routine is working on a 16 GB flash; my system is a 2 GHz dual core athlon. We are only at about 25%.
Is this normal ?

procon says : "I have noticed that the ECC calculation only uses about 15-20% of CPU, but transfers about 30-35 MB/s from hard disk all the time (even several days) I believe such transfers are not necessary and only slow the process down pretty much..."
jeremyb says : "64bit Driver.. FE loves memory"
For me, maybe, make a 64bit Driver AND parallelize the thread of ECC (only two threads in use !) , because I have a new PC with Seven 64bit with i7 CPU and 8Go Ram...
It's a shame not to use all the power of this PC...

Hi,
It would be useful if the utility restored the original dates of the recovered files.

List of key items found in the dump by the user.
Example:
Finds the beginning of the FAT table and adds the address to the list.
on list
position + own name

A couple of suggestions:
* Auto select ECC code
* Option to cut n bytes from the beginning of the assembled image (avoid the need for WinHex etc.)
* Parametric (user-defined) updates for BN
* Conflicts: auto select the best (e.g. the highest) version of a block (based on user-definable markers)
* Conflicts: show marker in listing
* Tab support in dialogs!
* Support for more than 16 bytes per row in Hex View
* NAND Flash Reader: show page size

Sergei,
carry on please with developing VBE, becouse this tool VERY rarely can calculate baks modifications!!! I have another case
http://forum.soft-center.ru/viewtopic.php?t=1201
when I've to do it by my self. I have noticed that where there is a lot of baks in an image (more than 10 at least) and I do not proceed with ECC correction VBE is able to help, but usually I have to run Check_dir many times before I repair all banks! This is terrible waste of time:)
