I've received one just like that. I assumed the NAND chip is bad as the ID isn't in any database. Also ChipGenius reported it as 1GB

I think there is more to this chip as this is 2 that ive received that behave the same way. When i tested the other drive before it has strange readings like 1.2v.

Can you post image of device?

Probably it is 128GB or 256GB chip. Chipgenius probably have not updated DB for his chip. It could be similar like for chips * 48 * *. Part of them indicate 2GB chip, part 128GB.

Update

Case resolved but not sure why. After reballing and putting away i decided to do a chip off again and test some more. Still cant ID. Once again put the chip back on the USB board and the thing worked but only in program like UFS.

Chip size 2tb according to the file system size. Client did say they spent a lot of money on this device even though it looks like a cheap pos hand out. Or maybe its fake memory. over 99% of the files dumped and look complete so it wasnt cannibalizing itself as far as i can tell. new 2tb memory might explain why we cant read it.

Believe me it is not 2TB Wink Chip is fake. If you have it worked, please measure voltage on VCC/VCCq pads.If data are save you can verify real size of chip with H2testw.

yes i think not. client only has 1g of data which is probably why it is safe. I will test with that program

ID is OK - this is latest Micron TLC 3D 176L 512Gb chip from B47R family with six-byte addressing!

1CE 512GB/8 = 64GB
Max capacity 8Tb = 1TB - 4CE x 2 Channels

We have full NAND documentation for this and accordign to this is TLC chip with NV-DDR3 interface. We also just got this chip in near future we will be doing it but probably without support six-byte addressing will be problem reading it.

We will contact with Sergey and ask if is interesed to added six-byte addressing if nessesery.

ps. for this chip we need read five bytes

ID: 2C C3 08 32 EA - B47R new one six-byte addressing
ID: 2C C3 08 32 E6 - B27B old one five-byte addressing
