So I was thinking a play list with some short (under 3min) specific videos like this in "Layout"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnS2pw0kI8o

To cover the basic interface so we all have a common frame work to work with and start from there. Kind of like a video version of the manual but instead of making one long video break it down into small topics.

Maybe throw out some subjects to cover..
Hex Editor
Model
Job
Assemblers
Various Aspects of NAND Reader

I don't really want to cover mix editor functions this early as I think it would confuse people.

What is the best medium to keep you guys posted on progress? This thread, skype, facebook, etc???

What subjects do you want to cover?

My comments:

I never use 8 cores. Usually set to 4. But this is up to you
People who watch me when i work with Remote Support can see it
Because at some SanDisk layouts with large sector size it can give errors
Becase FE is 32-bit application and can use only 3 GB of RAM
While each core use some RAM. Bigger sectors size -> more RAM each core need
You can look how many memory FE use with Windows task manager

Also search for layout speed is not increasing with more cores (but need make tests about it)
More cores make faster block operations like ECC_Fix or Save Image or Open Image with ECC = ON
With ECC = Off i always set core = 1

In my test 4 cores was faster than 1 (the default). Overall I don't think the tip takes away from the content of the video. If you think it's critical I can remove the sentence.

I'll buy a real microphone, right now I'm using my headphones microphone.. It's made for phone calls, not YouTube..
