Got the dump, but not making it anywhere after that. Had another FE (expert) user take a look and he suggested I upload for support.

Could this happen if the reader doesn't have a perfect connection?

Re-seated the adapter & got a new dump. Also threw in the PC3K dump, just for reference. They say that it has double XOR.

Uploading new data now.

FE dump have same problem

We do not provide tech support for dumps readed with other readers

Take chip
Move finger at bottom of chip at contacts

If contacts is sharp you need remove solder from it
If contacts is smooth, then OK

I think the problem is with the physical NAND chip..

What are your thoughts?

1. Using NR, If the chip is read with RE_Up/Down = 2 the page buffer will output an arbitrary number of columns... almost like the chip is locking up after 32 bytes.. The chip needs to be read with Slow to get sane data.

2. When read with Slow there is an arbitrary shift in data by a few columns depending on the read. eg: SA occurs around bytes 0x3F0 instead of after 0x400. With or Without Ignore_RB... I've seen this on STD chips without 05_E0 but not WL

IDK.. Kind of stumped.

PS SA must start at 0x400 offset
At this dumps it starts from 0x3f0+ offset

This mean that some bytes is missing

It can be caused be daggling of RE signal

*daggling - i'm not sure that i use correct english word
I mean toggling coused by noise or problem with connection

It looked pretty clean, but went back and did another pass with the soldering iron in hopes that we can get it even better.

Chip is reading again now.
