|
|
Hello,
I ask you to add a option into Test Retry and Test Voltage in FE as it is now in NR - let's call it "Custom" so into Fe Test Voltage and Test Retry add:
- Before Read
- After Read
Those Debug functions (Before Read and After Read) already exist into NAND REader so it schouldn't be a problem to add this feature into leatest FE software as "Custom"
Please let me know if this is possible since it can help a lot with checking own RR modes which we can get from registry together with ECC layout in FE and diffrent voltages using V3 adapter.
Right now checking this is bit complicated.... we need to use NAND console with correct commands and address and then import into FE, choose layout etc.... by adding this function checking new RR modes can be done much much quicker and new commands for modern chips can be send to you to add into FE.
Can you add this ?

I don't understand the suggestion, do you mean:
Allow NR to voltage step through Debug (Before Reset / Before Read) commands?
I just implemented this feature in my code, we can see if this makes any difference tomorrow when we troubleshoot

NAND Reader got this function already - I want to add this into Flash Extractor interface too
What it gives:
Run own custom RR command for debug/development for new memory chips together with ECC check from layout - so before Read will work as a custom RR and Flash Extractor can use other its features like check voltages along with own RR. This are must in case of layout with doesnt allows ECC backwrite so save need to be done with ECC ON
Without this findingcorrect new registry (modes and values) for RR takes a lot of time manually...

It could be good idea to implement if it help. Currently there is a big problem with reading chips with good quality dump.
