Hi gents,

I have an old USB stick (update: "bluemedia" 1GB), where I can't get the right bank space.
Could you please explain, how to do that?

Many thanks in advance!

Thomas

Thanks for your clear statement.
Please give me a little time to read the chip again - I sent it back to my client.

I checked again the stick. It's an 1 GB "bluemedia" device, please find the image in the 1st post.
So the bank number should be correct.

U1M have 2 banks

* dc is 512 MB per bank

2 x 512 MB = 1 GB

Open fresh NAND Reader software
Do not select config
Press ID
Make screenshoot

Dear Sergey,

I received the chip today.
Please find attached a NAND Reader screenshot.

I confirm, it's a
SAMSUNG
K9G8G08U1M
chip, with only one bank, and signature 0x ad dc 84 25.
I tried it with 3.3V, and also 2.3V. Same result.

This is problem with connection

Please, remove power adapter

Check that all solder is removed from chip pins
Move your finger ober the pins at bottom side
They must not be sharp, they must be smooth

Pay attentoin to pin_10

I tried it again and again, also with PC3k reader - no change (except bank 1 is 512MB, not 1GB).
All pins are perfectly clean. I used a sharp knife and a glass-fibre brush for cleaning, as usual. No joint pins.
So I 'm sure, that Bank 2 is dead.

Please close this case. Thanks for your strong support!
