Is it possible to read a 16-Bit chip with the wire adapter?

I am a bit confused. I ordered one of everything on your site but didn't get the 16-Bit adapter. How do I go about ordering it?

You have all, you can use wire adapter as 16-bit. Just look at manual and solder it as 16-bit.

My adapter is not the same as either of the ones in the picture (attached). As D1 is in different placed on both adapters I am assuming they are different adapters. Or are they somehow interchangeable. As I say the one in my picture is the only one I have received.

The adapter is wrong mounted, not USB to USB.

You are correct Embarassed

I did remove the adapter to see the underside and placed it back to take a picture. It has been mounted the correct way for reading. However the 8-Bit 16-Bit question is still valid.

There is only one version of wire adapter - with 8-bit markings
16-bit version is just painted across the photo

Just use 16-bit pinout from
http://www.flash-extractor.com/manual/wire_adapter/

D0..D15 is on other places

Make your own adapters, NR is a very powerful / open platform

This is my new Monolthic PCB interface board used for figuring out pin-outs and connecting to NR and my Logic Analyzer.. (there is a mating pcb), vastly improved over my old one.

It's currently in production, I'll take a picture when I receive it next week.
It has a USB connector, header for external power, filter capacitor and fuse..

Although I just realized I didn't label them.. ohh well next revision.

Any Suggestions for improvement?

NR_VCC and NR_GND are power from the NAND reader and isolated, maybe connect NR_GND to GND..

@jeremyb: I think that instead of static one VCC you schould think about fast changing it by jumpers from 1.6V to 3.3V with 0,1V step so there are external power supply which are taken from external microUSB and regulated by IC from 1.6V to 3.3V by fast jumpers + additional precise regulation using potentiometer that you can adjust beetwen steps using multimeter and pot (from for example 1.61 to 1.69 for 1.6V step, from 1.71 to 1.79 for 1.7 step) as here on photo... just small suggestions Wink Ofcourse there are also fuses installed ....

also there are other addons to use adapters from other readers with NR

I can already change power via variable external power supply and pin header next to USB connector
