The first part on dump contains mostly 00. See 300k from the beginning of dump in container. The last part of the 300k dump and all to the 4 GB end contains EC EE EC EE..

Must be reading problems here ?

Reader is modified for SanDisk and other sandisk chip have been read sucessfully. I have cleaned chip legs and tested reading twice. Same result.

Info:
This is an USB sandisk 4 GB with:
NAND: SDTNKLCHSM-4096
Controller: 20-99-00128-3
and clock is 24 kHz in this device.

We need full functional device to test reader on it.

And if reading method is wrong, trace signals with analizer.

I loaded another identical chip full with jpg's and tested to read it. Almost same result. The controller was not the same (20-99-00121-1) which could explain the small difference.

I remember this chip
I read it correctly

It is very strange. I have another chip that i read a while ago, SDTNKHHSM-32768 without problems. See http://forum.soft-center.ru/viewtopic.php?t=340
Only thing was that the util could not handle this dump at that time.

With controller 20-99-00121-1:
SDTNKLBHSM-2048: read ok.
SDTNKHHSM-32768: read ok.
SDTNKLCHSM-4096: Cannot read.

Problem solved!

I tested the previously successfully readed sandisk chip again and got the same ID (98 00 80 d5) even from this chip. As I know this ID not is correct I suspected problems with the reader. And it was. I'll found info about weak place and resoldered the corner pins on the two connectors for the adapter. Now it works! Very Happy
